Light art: Henrik Koppen

"Svarteboka" is a concert full of musical magic that explores the nature of truth and reality.

There is something standing in the way
A distorted picture of reality
Seeking freedom
Urging the dream and longing for a solution

Two different musicians meet and challenge each other, stretch and inspire to question truths and fight their way through and into the music together.

Each composer has been given free reins within an idea, and the texts are taken from a number of esoteric sources such as black books, witchcraft, poems and hymns. The works are shaped and inspired by folk music, unconventional tonal systems and the two performers' own imprints.

Light artist Henrik Koppen is a versatile artist who works with installations, light art, video and performance art. In this production, he works on stage with glass, lights and video projections.

With a first performance at the Ultima festival in autumn 2021, the project will now continue this spring with concerts in Trondheim, Stockholm and Reykjavik before recording an album in 2025.
